INFINITE PORTRAITS

This is a series of encaustic pieces on wood panel. I wanted to take photographic portraits of my son Diego, who is Autistic and has a unique mind, but he asked me to draw him instead. Diego suggested that I draw “infinite portraits.” I asked him to explain what that meant, and his answer was: “Just draw lines that never end.”  So here are some infinite portraits of Diego. I asked him if I could include photos of his eyes and he said yes, but only his right eye. He was pleased with the final result. Each panel measures 24″x14″.
